Torah Tracker — Privacy Policy

Torah Tracker is a personal Torah learning tracker. We respect your privacy and collect the minimum data necessary to operate the app.

What we collect

• Account information (optional): If you choose to create an account, we store a username and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
• Learning progress: Which seforim and units you have marked as learned, plus which commentaries you applied. This is the data the app exists to track.
• Session cookie: A signed session cookie used only to keep you logged in.

We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, photos, advertising ID, or any analytics or tracking identifiers. The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

How your data is used

Account and progress data are used solely to sync your learning progress between your devices. They are not shared with, sold to, or accessed by any third party.

Local-first storage

The app works fully offline without an account. Without an account, all data stays on your device.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account and all associated server data at any time from inside the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and permanent. You may also request deletion by emailing us (see contact below).

Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The only personal information collected is the username you choose at signup.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. All traffic between the app and our server is encrypted with HTTPS.
